Kerr & Hinz Dolls for Nancy Ann

Kerr & Hinz started making dolls for Nancy Ann Storybook Co. from their molds in the 1940’s.  Then Nancy Ann Storybook Co painted the dolls.

Also in the 1940’s Kerr & Hinz start making dolls for themselves and selling them with the stamp K & H - USA on back. They came in little Heart Boxes and were signed on inside of box, Kerr & Hinz, Santa Clara, Calf. Model B.  They also sold cradles & high chairs for the dolls.

I purchased this collection from a lady that lived in Santa Clara, CA in the 1970’s when this old stock was discovered.  She bought these dolls from the original owner before the building was torn down in 1973.  This stock has been stored all these years.  They were sued by Nancy Ann Storybook dolls and ceased making dolls in 1956.

This was the little 4 ¼” all bisque, with jointed arms & legs.  Each one was hand painted so each is a little different from the others
