Peggy Nisbet & Royal Doulton, have teamed up to make limited edition dolls of the Kate Greenaway & Victorian Birthday, only 5000 of each doll were made. Each doll carries the Royal Doulton stamp on the nape of the neck & the costumes have a sewn-in label bearing the legend 'Royal Doulton & Nisbet' made in England
Produced in 1981 of 5,000 each, cost $125.00 for little ones & $175.00 each for larger ones. 12 different shoulder head models produced by Daulton, Heads made of bone china with a matte finish so that they resemble bisque. Only the features, including the cheeks are painted & all of the painting is done by hand. The work of masters at the Daulton factory. Each head is fired four times. Clothes were designed by the House of Nisbet and carry an identifying cloth label.
